This is a fashion film that lived in my mind for a few years. I’d been a cinematographer for countless festival “after movies” and was itching to direct an after movie in my own voice. Being an electronic music listener and event attendee, aka raver, I've had imaginative ideas of what the festival experience could be. In the summer of 2018, with the help of a few friends, I brought two of them to life: the first was organizing an experimental electronic music festival in the woods, Few Norms, and the second was making this film, Modern Respite.
